Bridal Shower "Survival Kit"
Your bridal shower’s coming up, and you want to give your bridesmaids and friends thank your gifts for everything they’re doing for you (up to and including whatever shenanigans they have planned for your bachelorette party). One of the best and most practical gifts you can give is a bridal shower survival kit for the wedding day.
What’s a bridal survival kit? It’s a pack containing all the little things you and your bridesmaids might need on the wedding day that doubles as a memento of the occasion. Here’s how to make your own bridal shower survival kits (be sure to create one for yourself as well).
Choose Your Kit Bag
A bridal survival kit shouldn’t be too large—you want something discreet that bridesmaids, mom, and your mom-in-law-to-be can carry easily. Personalized cosmetic or utility bags are ideal, as most of the items going into the survival kits are small (but important if you need them).

What goes into your bridal survival kit depends on where you’re getting married, the season, and your personal needs. Common ideas include:
- Travel size tissue packs for those happy but make-up ruining wedding tears,
- Travel size deodorant,
- Safety and bobby pins for dress / hair emergencies,
- Travel size hair spray and lotion,
- Clear nail polish,
- Lip balm,
- Travel size perfume,
- Tweezers ,
- Blotting papers to combat oil and sweat (it can get hot in that wedding dress),
- Stain remover to treat any unexpected spills (red wine and white dresses are a dangerous combination),
- Fashion tape for fixing hemlines and ensuring plunging necklines don’t plunge too much,
- Over the counter pain killer,
- Toothpicks or dental floss,
- Crazy glue (for broken heels and other mishaps).
